You’re a big fan of our refills, right? So why should you use a solid dish soap bar?
We made these eco-friendly bars to give you more sustainable options for your home. Whether you prefer solid bars, like the minimal look on your countertop, or want to change things up, they can clean a sinkful of dishes like nobody’s business, or they can work with and complement liquid dish soap.
Why You’ll Love a Solid Dish Soap Bar
While a solid bar of dish soap uses less energy to manufacture and ship, one of the biggest benefits is that it’s completely plastic free, with very minimal packaging overall. Each bar is wrapped in a small piece of recyclable paper. That’s it!
You’ll also love a solid dish soap bar if you prefer a very minimal countertop without any bottles or packaging. Just don’t forget your Natural Pot Brush and Self-Draining Silicone Soap Tray. The brush is sculpted to fit in the palm of your hand for easy scrubbing, and the soap tray will ensure the bar drains properly, giving it a longer life. You can find our Solid Dish Soap and Natural Pot Brush in a bundle, or you can use a Swedish Sponge Cloth instead.
Why Ours is Different
Powered by plants, our Solid Dish Soap is tough enough to cut through stubborn grease and baked-on food, but gentle on your skin. Each bar is handmade in Canada with olive and coconut oils and scented with energizing grapefruit and orange essential oils. Nothing else! The formula is vegan and biodegradable, so it’s good for you, good for your home, and good for the planet.
Each block will last the average household about four to six months, so it’s cost effective too.
How to Use a Solid Dish Soap Bar
Use a solid dish soap bar just like you’d use a normal bar of soap.
Using warm water, wet a Swedish sponge cloth or pot scrubber and rub on the soap in a circular motion to create rich suds. Repeat as needed to refresh suds for ultimate grease-cutting power. Wash your dish and rinse well before drying.
For really tough, baked on messes, use a scrubber to lather the cleansing suds all over the dish before soaking in hot water. Let the item soak for a couple of hours before using our pot brush to give it a good scrub.
